Dr Vicky Lu is a vitreoretinal surgeon with expertise in the medical and surgical management of macular and retinal conditions, including intravitreal injections therapy.
Vicky studied medicine at the University of New South Wales. She obtained her specialist ophthalmology training through Sydney Eye Hospital Network, is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and holds a Masters of Public Health.
She was then invited to work as a vitreoretinal specialist in the National Health Service where she provided care to patients with acute and long term vitreoretinal and comprehensive ophthalmic conditions.
Her areas of expertise include treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular disease, retinal detachment and complications of cataract surgery.
She is a visiting consultant at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney and is actively involved in research in collaboration with international centres .She is dedicated to teaching registrars, optometrists, GP and primary care stakeholders.
Vicky is fluent in English, Mandarin and Hokkien.
