Upon your arrival, please notify our secretaries that you are here.
They will complete a new medical record for you, and you will be asked to sit in one of our two waiting rooms.
Then, you will be seen by one of our ophthalmic assistants.
The ophthalmic assistant will ask you about the reason for your consultation, and perform some basic visual checks.
Drops will be instilled into your eyes as part of your examination.
It is common for your eyes to be blurry for a few hours afterwards.
Hence it is important that you do not drive yourself to the consultation.
It takes time to perform a thorough examination.
Please allow up to 2 hours for your appointment as there could be tests or procedures required.
If this is not possible, please notify the secretaries, who may need to reschedule your appointment.
If a procedure is to be done, sometimes another appointment will need to be scheduled for the procedure.
