If it is your first time to see us, you might like to know what to expect.
Please call our office to make your appointment. If the appointment is needed urgently, please ask your optometrist or doctor to call on your behalf to explain the situation. As you can understand, we are fully booked most days.
When you first visit us, you will be asked to have these with you:
1. A valid referral letter from a doctor or an optometrist. A referral from a GP or optometrist is valid for 12 months. A referral from another specialist is valid for 3 months.
2. Your medicare card
3. Details of your private insurance, if applicable
4. Your glasses
5. A list of all your medication and eye drops
It is best if you can find someone to drive you to and from the appointment, as your eyes may be too blurry after the appointment for you to drive yourself.
Please be aware that your appointment may take up to 2 hours, depending on what tests or procedures are needed.
